David is a certified innovation professional (Innovation Engineering) and published senior executive for energy marketing, reputational risk in the energy industry, brand creation, management, corporate intelligence, marketing, and new product development. At the University Of Houston College Of Technology, he lectures on Innovation and Leadership and is a member of the Dean’s staff as Professor of Practice focused on innovation and commercializing Intellectual Property. He also serves on the faculty of the Digital Media Department as subject matter expert for digital asset management and to help build and manage public private partnerships. David has extensive international experience in managing a diverse portfolio of responsibilities to build markets, create brands, and pioneer new product introductions. He brings a range of knowledge that includes digital marketing, merchandising, leadership and promotions for technology, energy, engineering, hospitality, entertainment venues, consumer packaged goods, retail, and manufacturing industries. He has served as a certified innovation consultant working with companies such as: Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Hallmark, Southwestern Energy and MARS-Uncle Ben’s. For eight years he served as Vice President at Idoneous Global, a full-service security and intelligence firm, as a corporate intelligence analyst. His background includes leading Hewlett-Packard (HP) business units around the world to introduce software as a service population-based computing. He also developed digital innovation programs for technology and security organizations around the world. As Deputy CEO for Y&R he was responsible for the Moscow office reorganization and supporting Russian and Western businesses seeking to develop brands and opportunities in emerging economies. Complementing David’s business to business marketing success is his significant retail experience with General Cinema Theatres, Universal Studios, quick serve restaurants such as Sonic Drive-In, and grocery store chains. Other business to consumer activities includes beverages and packaged goods with PepsiCo business units where he co-launched Frito-Lay/Russia. While working with Frito-Lay Russia he was a member of the European purchasing and logistics board for PepsiCo Foods Inc. and the PepsiCo Russia business development committee which included Pepsi, Frito-Lay, Pizza Hut, Metro Express and KFC. Working with PepsiCo operations he also developed new product introductions in Italy, Mexico, Cyprus, and Eastern Europe in addition to field marketing with local bottlers in the US. While at Y&R he invented a brand creation process that is still in use today.
