Dr. Shah Ardalan has invested over 30 years in executive and pivotal roles in global corporations, distinguished universities, and prominent community colleges in North Carolina, New Mexico, Nevada, and Texas. Ardalan is considered one of the nation’s top Educational Innovators. He has been recognized for his ability to build and inspire teams of thinkers and practitioners to promote prosperity and advance upward mobility for individuals and communities. Ardalan joined the Lone Star College System’s executive team in January 2008. Prior to becoming Lone Star College-University Park’s founding President in September 2012, he served as Vice Chancellor, Chief Information Officer (CIO), and LSC-University Park’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO). His contributions to education, students, and workforce are mentioned in over 100 national and international articles, case studies, books, and conferences. As a servant leader, his focus on empowering faculty and staff to increase student success resulted in LCS-University Park being distinguished as one of the most innovative and fastest growing community colleges in the country. Ardalan holds a doctoral degree in Community College Leadership from Roueche Graduate Center of National American University at Austin, Texas. His other academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University, a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, NC and multiple diplomas and certificates from University of Lausanne (Switzerland) and Harvard University.
